Amor fati, grim reaper, and the greedy Karim
If Karim is greedy, fate won't love him, and he'll be dead.
I love you, fate
A Latin coining that Stoics consider their baby daughter, aka keep it close to their heart is Amor Fati.
The concept literally translates to love of fate.
Fate surprises us often. And the things we don't desire, we get it early. And in acceptance is less suffering.
So when you accept whatever comes your way as positive and nothing to worry about, you won't worry about it.
When you love what fate sets for you, you'll be happier.
So Amor Fati means "accept it, use it, love it."
Accept what fate has to offer, love it, and use it for your benefit.
But I don't want to die
The Grim Reaper is a humanised mythology character of the God of death. He comes with his scythe in a black cloak along with an hourglass.
The moment the hourglass sand stops dripping, he takes your soul away without notice.
He is presented as grim but many people qestions why couldn't he be a friendly person? That way people would fear death less.
Anyway, the point is: Death doesn't wait. And death will come without notice.
Is Karim really greedy?
Today I was wondering if I would be less shy or if I was born in America, I would be able to get on camera, record videos, form relationships with great people by going to the gym and build great things together.
And I was eyeing how fortunate MrBeast was to be born in these conditions.
Then I came across the concept of Amor Fati. Then I started reflecting on it. My agenda right now is this: Whatever is there with me, wherever I am, and however I can, I will make use of it to turn things right for me.
After all, death doesn't wait and I can't waste a life's blessing waiting for the perfect time or conditions.
